NY Septic Guide is an independent guide to septic system costs, New York State grant programs, and licensed contractors in the Hudson Valley. We are not a septic company, an engineering firm, or a government agency, and we are not affiliated with any contractor listed on this site.

Homeowners

Questions about the guides, or a correction to something we've published? Email [email protected]. We read everything, though we can't advise on individual systems — that's a job for a licensed installer or your county health department.

If you want quotes for work, use the quote form on any county page. It goes to licensed contractors serving your town, not to us.

Contractors

To be added to the directory, correct your details, or have your listing removed, email [email protected]. Listings are free. We remove any listing on request, usually the same day, no questions asked.

Every entry is checked against the relevant county register before it goes live. If we've recorded your licence number, service area, or services wrongly, tell us and we'll fix it.

Grant program questions

We can explain how the programs work, but we don't administer them and can't determine whether a specific property is eligible. That decision belongs to your county health department. For Putnam County, contact the Department of Health at 845-808-1390.
